Dr. Yushu Xia joined Columbia University as a Lamont Assistant Research Professor in February 2024. She is a soil scientist who uses field and lab observations, big data, remote sensing, and modeling tools to monitor carbon, greenhouse gas emissions, soil water dynamics, and ecosystem productivity in the terrestrial ecosystem. Her work aims to provide accurate and reliable estimates that can support management improvement at the field scale, and to inform policymaking at the broad scale. Please find her CV here.
